"I Am Pregnant" Gown from New York, New York!

SOLD!

I have added new photos of Liza wearing the "I'm Pregnant" gown she wears in 5 or 6 scenes in New York, New York on September 14, 2005.  Liza wears this gown in the nightclub singing, Just You, Just Me.  She wears it in the next scene leaving the stage.  She wears this gown walking through the crowd.  She wears it in the scene at the bottom of the stairs when she tells Robert DiNero she is pregnant.  She wears it in the backroom sitting on the bed while Robert DiNero is lying on the bed.  She wears it lying on the bed telling DiNero she wants to return to New York.  I refer to this gown as the Bette Davis Gown because that is what is written on the reverse of the original wardrobe tag called the Davis Dress.  (See photo of original wardrobe tag below pinned to long green gloves from the Aces High scene.)

I took one of my gowns that I had worn to the Grammy's to a cleaners in Beverly Hills to have it cleaned.  The woman commented on how beautiful the gown was.  I told her that I had designed it.  She looked at me.  She looked me up and down, and then said, "I have some lovely gowns that you might be interested in."  I told her that I would be interested.  When I returned to pick up my gown, the woman brought out a large stack of gowns.  I gasped, they were so very lovely.  The woman said she thought they might fit me.  I asked her where she got them.  The woman told me, Liza Minelli donated these items to her because she was suffering from cancer.  Liza gave them to her so she could sell them & use the money to help pay for her medical bills.  I asked her how much she wanted, paid the money and took them home without trying them on before I bought them.  As soon as I got home, I began trying on the beautiful garments.  Every single one fit me as though they had been custom-made for me.  I was living at Henry Kingi's, (stuntman) (previously married to Lyndsey Wagner) estate in Studio City.  I was dancing around the grounds wearing one of the gowns, (yes, I do that!), when Henry walked up and commented how beautiful I looked.  He told me I should have photographs taken wearing the gowns.  He suggested LaMont MacLamore of the Fifth Dimension.  He told me that LaMont was one of the top glamour photographers.  I immediately telephoned LaMont and we set a date for the photo shoot.  The location would be on Henry Kingi's estate.  The history of the estate added to the charm.  Marlon Brando had lived in the main house and a well-known television star had lived in the guesthouse where I was living.  I was redecorating the guesthouse for Henry.  It was a magical day for the photo shoot.  Every pose I struck - LaMont would call out, "Freeze!"  The photo of my wearing the red sequined gown below looks a different color only because of the sunlight.  I wore this gown to the Grammy's.  I was the 'woman in red'!  This was prior to the movie and soundtrack by Stevie Wonder.  I had spent part of the evening with Stevie Wonder and his brothers while at the Grammy's.  Strange as it sounds, I had never seen New York, New York! Until it aired in the past month or two on television.  Wow, I was so surprised and thrilled to see the collectibles I own/owned in the movie!  I just found these photos of Liza wearing these items this past week, June 2002!
