I have maintained a website since 1998 in one form or the other. I began with a free website. I then evolved to paying for my own domain name and web hosting. I have used so many different programs to post or update my website over these many years, it is truly a miracle it has been up and running over almost a decade and a half.
Originally, my intention for my website was to share amazing miracles and adventures in my life, along with supporting Silicone Poisoning & Breast Implant survivors by posting my own journey, along with research. I had silicone injections from a medical doctor in Newport Beach, California in 1971 who told me and many women this was 'medical silicone'. This doctor ended up killing many women and lost his license to practice. He moved to Rosarita Beach, Baja California where he lives in a huge mansion - where he probably injected many more women and killed a few hundred more.
I never told anyone that I had the silicone injections in my breasts because I was ashamed that I let this 'doctor' talk me into having it done - when I only went with a dear friend who was having the injections in her breasts.
Over the years, my breasts became harder, with big sections that felt like plastic. My breasts kept getting bigger. Immediately after being injected, my body reacted by elevating my White Blood Count higher than any medical doctor had ever documented. I still did not speak up and say what I had done. Shame is always a secret.
Being injected with silicone began decades of worsening major health problems, including massive bleeding and blood clots causing me to undergo a hysterectomy at a very young age. I would have energy for several days, and then collapse with no energy, no stamina, barely able to walk from the sofa to the bed once a day.
Still, I carried on until 1997 when I began to suffer with 'brain storms' of blinding light, paralyzing me for several seconds or minutes. Muscle cramps were closer to seizures than muscle cramps.
I was living in Silver Lake, California when I saw an ad for free mammograms on television. I finally got the courage to visit the mobile mammogram unit manned by UCLA. Before the mammogram, I confided in the nurse about being injected with silicone in both breasts. I told her that recently when I touched my breast, it would turn purple or burgundy and stay that way for sometimes over an hour. Thank heaven, this nurse was very compassionate and completed the test. She promised to telephone me with the results.
First thing, the next morning, the nurse telephoned me. She told me that she had made an appointment for me at the UCLA Olive View Breast Clinic in Simi Valley in a couple of days. She assured me there was nothing to worry about, this appointment was simply a precaution to get a medical opinion.
I kept the appointment. I wasn't nervous or anticipating anything. I was ushered into an exam room about the size of a small closet. I was not told to disrobe, simply to take a seat, the doctor would be in momentarily. Within minutes, five men in white frocks walked in. The smallest guy introduced himself as the Chief Surgeon in the Breast Clinic. He shook my hand and said, "You need a bi-lateral mastectomy immediately."
Please make love offerings! - Help defray costs of web hosting & web costs. I have supported Silicone Poisoning & Breast Implant survivors for 15 years without compensation, even though, I myself have been disabled and very low income. I have also paid all the website costs to maintain Chuck Domanico Memorial Tribute section on my website.
